Blue Point offers active management that is focused on capital appreciation. Niall O’Malley serves as Blue Point’s Portfolio Manager. He leverages a keen understanding of the creative/destructive cycle that governs innovation, 12-years of international experience, and his understanding of the capital markets to seek capital appreciation for clients.

Niall has often been quoted in the press by the Baltimore Business Journal, Baltimore Sun, Bloomberg, China Business News, Citybizlist Baltimore, Financial Advisor, Markets Media, Seeking Alpha and The Trade. He has been a radio show guest on VoiceAmerica’s Insightful Investor, and WCBM’s Money, Riches and Wealth.  Niall has been invited as a guest speaker by groups including the American Association of Individual Investors Baltimore Chapter, Baltimore Business Journal, Baltimore Family Office Group, CFA Society Germany, CFA Society Philadelphia, CFA Society Pittsburgh, CFA Society Stamford, CFA Society Switzerland, CFA Society Virginia, Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, Loyola University Financial Management Association, Towson University Investment Group’s International Markets Summit, The Wednesday Club and Washington Association of Money Managers.

Niall regularly speaks to CFA Society, university and investment groups.  He served on the Board and the Program Committee of the CFA Society Baltimore for 13 years, and now serves on the Society’s Advisory Board.  Niall served as President of the CFA Society Baltimore from 2009-2010, and founded the Baltimore Business Review.  He served as Co-Editor of the Baltimore Business Review for eight years and continues to be a contributor.  Niall has taught Investments and Equity Security Analysis as an Adjunct Professor at Towson University, College of Business and Economics.
