Blue School is a nonprofit independent school founded in 2006 by six artists, including members of Blue Man Group, with a mission to reimagine education for the public good. It is based in Downtown New York City, and has occupied its permanent home at 241 Water Street in Lower Manhattan since 2011. The school serves students from pre-primary through middle school, enrolling about 300 students annually. The organization is led by an interim head of school, supported by a substantial team of faculty and administrators.
