Blue Star Security is a Des Plaines, Illinois-based security and investigations firm founded in 2009 by two Chicago police officers. Its staff consists exclusively of state-certified active-duty and retired law enforcement officers with training in public safety, crisis response, and community relations, and its leadership comes from seasoned law enforcement professionals with experience in tactical response, counter-terrorism, major investigations and homicide.

It designs customized protection strategies to reduce risk for each client and environment, with services scalable from a single incident to ongoing coverage. Each officer is selected for specific training and field experience to place the right professional in the right setting and to foster partnerships rather than transactions. In April 2024, Guidice was announced to join as director of business development, effective April 9, 2024.
