You’re a busy person with little spare time - but a passion for living well and performing at your peak. Using medically certified German EMS (Electro Muscle Stimulation) technology (SYMBIONT), we will help you look, feel and become stronger - through a sophisticated 20-minute session once a week. BODYTEC EMS is the stimulation of muscle contraction using electric impulses delivered by a device through electrodes on the skin, placed near targeted muscles. This is combined with traditional low-impact exercises for an intense, full-body workout. Each session is supervised by a qualified personal trainer. It’s a well-researched technology that has been used by professional athletes for decades to build muscle, reduce body fat and tone. Many of our members are corporate executives simply seeking to resolve posture imbalances or lower back issues, brought on by long hours at work. Because most of our members are frequent travellers, they are able to train at any studio nationwide. BODYTEC partners with FNB eBucks (since 2018). In 2024, we launched a nutrition partnership with Nutritional Solutions a registered dietetic practice with dieticians registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA). Nutritional Solutions has a national footprint around South Africa with registered dieticians in Johannesburg (Bryanston, Johannesburg South and Sandton) Pretoria and Paarl. In 2012, the first two franchises opened in Johannesburg and Cape Town. We were aiming for ten studios within five years but the business grew fast, with 26 studios opening in that time.
