The Boston Gay Men's Chorus is a prominent community-based ensemble based in Boston, Massachusetts, founded in 1982. The 200-voice chorus performs a wide range of classical and popular repertoire and pursues creative programming that supports outreach and a positive image of the LGBTQ community. Under the direction of Music Director Reuben M. Reynolds III, the group delivers live performances to more than 10,000 listeners each season, with additional reach through recordings, television, and online broadcasts. It positions itself as a cultural ambassador, being the first LGBTQ+ chorus to perform in Poland in 2005, in the Middle East in 2015, and in South Africa in June 2018. The organization has received regional recognition, named as a top chorus in Boston by CBS-WBZ and as a top 10 performing arts organization in the city by the Boston Business Journal in 2018 and 2019. In 2024, Anne Hampton Calloway joined BGMC for a program called Melodies for a Movement at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall.
