Boston University Upward Bound is a federally funded college-preparatory program that supports potential first-generation and low-income Boston public high school students as they prepare for higher education. It operates within Boston University's Wheelock College of Education and Human Development, under the College Access and Completion office. The program serves 86 students drawn from five local high schools—Brighton High School, The English High School, Community Academy of Science and Health, Margarita Muniz Academy, and Snowden International High School at Copley—and from four neighborhoods: Dorchester, East Boston, Mattapan, and Roxbury.

Students remain in the program through high school graduation, and services are provided at no cost. Offerings include a six-week summer residential program that focuses on academics and an afterschool tutoring and coursework program during the school year, with access to Boston University resources on campus.
