Maritime niche Bowman Refrigeration operates as a full service refrigeration specialist focused on the maritime sector, with deep involvement in Alaska fishing fleets and vessels like tugs, ferries, cruises, and military ships. This indicates a specialized audience with ongoing needs for reliable refrigeration systems, maintenance, and retrofits on moving assets.

Carrier Marine dealer As the only Carrier Marine dealer in the Greater Seattle area and a dealer in Alaska, Bowman has exclusive access to Carrier’s marine-grade equipment and support channels, presenting a compelling upsell opportunity for upgrades, energy-efficient retrofits, and extended warranty programs to maritime customers.

Recent acquisition Recent acquisition by Teknotherm Inc. signals potential integration of broader maritime refrigeration capabilities and product lines, suggesting opportunities for cross-selling service contracts, spare parts, and bundled installation projects to an expanded customer base.

Revenue growth potential Current revenue is under $1M with a lean team (11-50 employees), indicating high potential for scalable service contracts, preventive maintenance programs, and value-added design/build projects for cold storage, process cooling, and industrial systems both on water and on land.

Market expansion Activity in Seattle and Alaska markets, combined with expertise in both maritime and land-based cold storage systems, suggests cross-market opportunities to offer turnkey solutions for fleets, weatherproof marine installations, and compliance-driven retrofits for growing seafood processing and cold chain needs.
