Boyd Chevrolet Buick had set as an icon at the corner of Five Points in Hendersonville for longer than most of us can remember. This third generation owned dealership has been helping the people of Western North Carolina with their automobile needs since 1932.
Veterans Day 2013 marked a significant change for the dealership. That day the doors opened on a brand new facility with a state of the art service center, kids area and customer lounge with a number of amenities including Starbucks coffee and business speed Wi-Fi. 
“The move to 1875 Spartanburg Highway has been huge for us,” states Les Boyd, grandson of the company’s founder. “From our new facility to our brand new 24,000 sq. foot body shop, it is enabling us to be much more efficient for our customers. “
The construction of the facility was a three year process involving as many local businesses as possible. It has been constructed to be very energy efficient and have minimal impact to the environment.
The larger facility required a significant staff expansion as well. 
As Hendersonville and Western North Carolina continue to grow so did the dealership. Boyd locations now include the main dealership at 1875 Spartanburg Highway, the only franchised owned Body Shop in the county just down the road and a Pre-Owned facility still located at the Five Points Intersection on Asheville Highway in Hendersonville, doubling the Pre-Owned Inventory. Chevrolet was added to the inventory line a few years ago knowing that the blue arch would sit proudly in Hendersonville.
“Our new dealership is something that we and the people of this area can be proud of,” Les Boyd said. “It signifies our long-term commitment to our customers, employees and the community.”
