To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County is a youth guidance organization dedicated to promoting the educational, vocational, social and character development of girls and boys ages 7 to 18. The Club is the only youth service organization the greater Santa Cruz area that provides daily drop-in programs five days a week. Striving to help youth improve their lives, the Club offers programs that build self-esteem and develop values and skills during the critical period of growth. Members come to the club looking for fun and a sense of belonging. Not only do they meet new friends, but they also learn and develop new skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. The Boys & Girls Club has a core of career professionals who are trained to provide leadership through informal guidance using individual assistance, small group, and drop-in activities. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County was founded by John & Ruth Mallery in 1969.
