Brainerd Baptist Church, located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has been serving the Scenic City since 1928. From the very beginning, Brainerd has carried a vision of planting churches and launching new ministries with one purpose: to see people experience the transforming grace of Jesus Christ. 

That same vision continues today through a variety of ministry expressions. Our East Ridge location is home to the Brainerd Spanish-speaking ministry that serves the growing Latino community.

The BX Ministry Center, a 54,000 sq. ft. facility, functions as a fitness center, community hub, and conference venue while also hosting Brainerd ministries such as worship gatherings, student ministry, and discipleship groups.

Since 1960, Brainerd Baptist School has provided Christ-centered education for children from preschool through middle school, equipping the next generation academically, socially, and spiritually.

Beyond Chattanooga, Brainerd has long carried a conviction for Global Missions. We walk alongside and partner with members of our church who sense God’s call to take the name of Jesus to people around the world who do not yet have access to the Gospel. We support and send members to share the Gospel across languages, cultures, and places. In addition, we partner with other ministries who share this same conviction—to see the good news of Jesus advance in some of the most difficult and least-reached regions of the world.

Brainerd’s legacy of planting churches, investing in the community, and sending members globally reflects our conviction that the Gospel should multiply outward—helping more and more people encounter the grace of Jesus in Chattanooga and to the ends of the earth.
