From the founding by Dr. Su-Chun Zhang, a pioneer in stem cell neuroscience, in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Discovery to Product (D2P) program, BrainXell is translating cutting-edge research into discovery tools and potentially meaningful therapies. The team works with both large and small biotech and pharmaceutical partners to develop products, services, and applications using its proprietary technology to guide human stem cells—including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs)—into highly enriched, specialized neurons. BrainXell provides a range of high-purity, iPSC-derived human neurons for research and development with a focus on drug discovery. The focus of this team's research and production effort is based in Madison, WI. BrainXell Therapeutics is further advancing our experience based in San Diego, CA with a mission to bring novel therapies to patients with neurological disorders. The company’s lead program, BXT-110, is IND-enabling for Parkinson’s disease, and a second program targeting spinal cord injury is in early development.
