It is a new model for building brands – offering more freedom than an agency, yet more support than going solo. Members invite colleagues to collaborate on branding projects forming perfect-fit teams each time. This allows each member to work in the area of her strength, on projects she feels passionate about. First each member creates her own promotional profile page, called a Salon. This page will highlight her professional information, much like a profile on LinkedIn. Next, she invites colleagues to join her Salon. Each colleague who accepts will be listed in her Salon as a guest, complete with thumbnail photo and brief description. This way each member’s Salon page serves as a directory of her collaborators, providing a place to refer potential clients to see the extended capabilities at her disposal for prospective projects. It also serves as a communication hub where her salon’s brand projects and recent discussions can be accessed and added to. When taken all together, these individual Salons combine to form a membership directory searchable by other members or prospective clients looking for particular capabilities.
