Breaking Ground is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit focused on housing and services for people who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness, anchored in the model of permanent supportive housing. It originated in 1990 with the Times Square residence, a large-scale complex that remains the country’s largest example of supportive housing.
