After working as an accountant for Arthur Young and Co. from 1963 to 1965, M. Glen Brewer opened his original accounting practice as a sole proprietor in downtown Bryan, Texas on August 25, 1965. Through his expertise and hard work, Glen built up a strong client base throughout the Brazos Valley. In 1983, Glen hired April Eyeington. She went into partnership with Glen in 1988, at which point the Firm became Brewer, Eyeington & Co. In 2004, the Firm merged with Patout and Company, a CPA firm that has served the Navasota area for decades. Its owner, Jared Patout, had taken over the family business from his parents, River and Azalea Patout. Following the merger, the firm changed its name to Brewer, Eyeington, Patout, & Co., LLP and served clients at two office locations – Bryan and Navasota. With over 150 years of combined experience, the Firm operates in many capacities providing a full range of tax planning, tax compliance, attestation, bookkeeping, and business advisory services.
