Bright Star Community Outreach is a Chicago-based nonprofit in the field of individual and family services with a nine-year history operating as a 501(c)(3) organization. Led by founder and CEO Pastor Chris Harris, Sr., who grew up in the Bronzeville area where the group is based, its work centers on community development initiatives intended to address violence, limited economic opportunities, inadequate mental health services, homelessness, child safety, and drug abuse. The organization concentrates its efforts on the south side of Chicago, with a focus on the 3rd and 4th wards.

Its mission is to empower residents to participate in building community through resource development and collaborative partnerships, delivering programs across violence prevention, community engagement, economic development, education, and healthy children, youth and families. In 2025, Bright Star Community Outreach helped organize the Greater Bronzeville Family Fest, a free community event on Chicago's south side.
