Bright Water Vision: Bright Water seeks to be a school without an achievement gap and a model for North Minneapolis. Bright Water School is inspired by the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori and sets high expectations for all children. In partnership with parents we guide children to develop their individual gifts while preparing them for life in a cooperative community and a changing world. We nurture independence, a love of learning, cooperation, creative thinking, and respect for self, others and the environment. Bright Water Mission: Bright Water inspires passion for learning in an intentionally diverse Montessori community. Philosophy and Goals Bright Water Montessori School serves children ages 16 months to 6 years and Bright Water Elementary serves children grades k-2. (Bright Water Elementary will grow each year until we serve k-6 grades in school year 2012/2013.). Bright Water is a diverse group of families fully realizing the authentic vision of a Montessori education. We nurture independence, a love of learning, self-esteem, cooperation, creative thinking, and respect for self and others. We strive to meet the needs of each child, as an individual while also promoting the skills and values needed for life in a co-operative community and a changing world.
