Adult and Community Learning

We work mainly from our 2 centres - The Kentwood Centre and The Poverest Centre, but also have wider community reach.

We have lots of courses that can help you get work related skills. If you are in receipt of JSA or ESA (WRAG) and actively seeking work, you may be eligible for free training, in subjects such as IT, Bookkeeping, Caring for Children, Counselling, etc.

Our Community Learning programmes aim to secure the best possible outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged adults in the community. Courses are held in schools, community venues and our main centres. Classes are tailored to each group’s requirements and interest. Subjects range from literacy, numeracy and preparation to employment; to  arts and crafts, computing, cookery, confidence building, exercise, mindfulness, parenting and family learning, course for older learners and for learners with disabilities or learning difficulties.
