Brown Button is a Kansas City based luxury estate sale company. We believe in Work That Matters. With every sale that we take on, we get to serve a Kansas City family going through a major life transition. Through our work, we make at least one aspect of their transition easier. We care about that. We love having a for-profit company that also makes a difference. Our team is a group of hand-picked difference makers. Everyday we get to show up for work and make someone else’s life a little easier.

Estate Sales

Our team handles every aspect of the in-home sale from start to finish. We organize all the contents of the house, price every item, advertise extensively, then host a very well attended estate sale. After the sale you receive a check for the proceeds and a completely cleaned out house.

Consignment Services

There are circumstances when a family is unable to have an in-home estate sale, but they still have items that they wish to sell.  Putting items on consignment can be a great fit for properties that have restrictions on estate sales, or for families that have a smaller amount of property to be sold. Our company can even pack & move the items being consigned.

Auction Services

Our auction services are ideal for smaller groups of higher value items, or for items of such significance they’re better served by being offered to a national audience. Original art, jewelry, rare books, luxury fashion & couture, and 20th century design are all good candidates for auction.

Appraisals 

A certified personal property appraisal is often needed for the purposes of: insuring a valuable item or collection, equitable division of an estate, determining estate tax liability, or for documented reporting of a charitable donation. We specialize in rare books, historical items, antiques, art glass & pottery, contemporary furniture & decor, designer fashion, and more.
