After a highly successful career, including serving as public affairs manager for Marriott Corporation, public relations director for the United States Olympic Committee, VP and general manager of Schulberg Mediaworks, director of marketing and communications for the American Red Cross Bay Area chapter, a two-year special assignment to the President of Xerox Global Services, and having founded three companies, two nonprofit organizations and co-founding a degree-granting college, Bruce formed a highly- specialized consultancy to focus on the area of his greatest interest and talent - creating cross-sector partnerships between nonprofit, for-profit, education and government sectors. Called the “Father of Cause Marketing” by the Cause Marketing Forum and highly regarded for his innovative and creative win-win partnerships, Bruce is recognized nationally and internationally as a pioneer in the field of cross-sector partnerships and cause marketing. Credited with coining the term “Do well by doing good”, Bruce designed the most successful cross-sector promotional and fundraising campaign for the March of Dimes in a partnership with Marriott Corporation, designed and directed the unprecedented Red Cross Prepare Bay Area campaign which trained over 1 million Bay Area residents in emergency preparedness, and continues to design marketing, public relations, and cross-sector partnerships which benefit all partners and stakeholders, with a focus on creating a greater good.
