Bryza Wind Lab, Inc. is an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited laboratory that specializes in wind tunnel testing, anemometer calibrations, test instrumentation setup, and data analysis. Wind tunnel tests are conducted in Bryza's Aero-Subsonic Wind Tunnel (AWST1), an open-circuit, suction-type wind tunnel that has a test section size of 2.5 ft high x 2.5 ft wide x 5 ft in length (0.762m x 0.762m x 1.524m). With a 50 hp fan-motor controlled by a precision variable frequency drive, it is capable of generating precision test speeds of up to 100 mph (~47 m/s). Data acquisition is also custom designed for each test using National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW software. According to velocity profiles surveyed in the test section, flow uniformity for the entire test section area is maintained within 0.2% and turbulence is less than 0.2%.
