General description Buchiglas USA Corp. is a distributor of pilot plants and reactor systems, manufactured by its Swiss parent company Buchi AG, in the territory of the United States and Canada. The Buchiglas products can be divided in two primary product lines pressure reactors and glass reactors. Buchi Pressure Reactors Buchiglas pressure reactors are multi-purpose chemical reactors with a pressure range of -1 to 400 bar (-14.5 - 5800 psi), in sizes from 10ml to 300 liters, for applications in chemical and pharmaceutical research and production such as hydrogenations, polymerizations, catalyst and corrosion testing. Standardized and engineered systems are available in borosilicate glass, stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium, tantalum and other high performance materials. Complementary to the pressure reactor systems, Buchiglas offers process control, monitoring and automation. Buchi Glass Reactor Systems Buchi AG also manufactures reactor systems and pilot plants made from borosilicate glass and glass lined steel for use in R&D and production of a wide variety of fine chemicals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The capacity of the equipment varies between 5 and 15 liters for the minipilot series, 15 to 250 liters for the chemreactor series and up to 10,000 liters for production plants. Buchiglas glass reactors, filters and scrubbers are built with a unique flexible glass connection, for vacuum tight, leakage free, economic and safe processing. The strength of Buchiglas lies in the customized engineering and design of the reactor systems and pilot plants for a multitude of customer requirements and applications.
