Founded in 1981 by Linda Ensko, M.Ed., Buckle My Shoe Preschool is a pioneering early childhood center serving children from 3 months to 5 years. Rooted in progressive education, our programs draw from the work of Jean Piaget, the Bank Street philosophy, and the Reggio Emilia approach to support the whole child.

We believe children are capable, curious, and full of potential. Our educators cultivate an emergent curriculum that follows children’s interests, encourages exploration, and supports cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
