Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department is an all-volunteer public-safety organization serving the southwest portion of the Town of Perinton in New York. It is based in Pittsford and provides fire suppression, rescue, hazardous materials response, mutual aid, and non-transport emergency medical services. The department relies on a volunteer corps numbering more than seventy individuals.

In addition to emergency response, BBFD runs a public-education program with outreach to children and adults. Last year, more than 700 area children participated in the education program, and safety training was offered to adult groups and local business employees.
