CADCA is a non-profit organization based in Alexandria, Virginia, founded in response to the crack-cocaine epidemic of the 1980s to mobilize communities against rising drug use. Since 1992, it has served as a prevention-focused association, equipping coalitions with tools, knowledge, and support to drive positive community change. It represents more than 7,000 community coalitions in the United States and across more than 28 countries, drawing participation from schools, law enforcement, youth, parents, healthcare, and other sectors. The organization emphasizes that local coalitions are essential catalysts for creating safer, healthier communities. In 2026, CADCA announced a partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration to host the inaugural Fentanyl Free America Summit during its 25th Annual Mid-Year Training Institute in Orlando, Florida.
