At Cake4Kids we raise the self-worth and confidence of foster children and underserved youth through the simple, yet meaningful, gesture of baking and delivering personalized, custom homemade birthday cake made especially for them. Since our founding in 2010 we have partnered with human services agencies that support youth ages 1-24, allowing Cake4Kids reach thousands of youth each year by layering our service on top of their existing programs. We proudly serve a very diverse population, baking and delivering for those who are victims of domestic violence or human trafficking, in foster care, experiencing homelessness, living below the poverty line, or are unaccompanied immigrant minors. We recognize that the underserved youth we serve require food, shelter, safety, and education first and foremost, but those elements are simply not enough to create a positive childhood and guide them into successful adulthood. Cake4Kids supports the underserved youth in our communities by providing each youth with their very own custom cake to celebrate their birthdays, graduations, and even adoptions, creating critical childhood experiences and social support that make youth feel whole and help carry them through their trauma. For a child who is living out of their family car, a teenager who is living in group home with no loved ones, or a youth whose parents forgot to show up for their visitation, each cake is a reminder that they matter, there is a community standing with them. What started by delivering just a handful of cakes in one county in Northern California, has since grown to a national organization with chapters coast to coast. Cake4Kids continues to be headquartered in Northern California and carries the 501(c)(3) designation for all chapters, running all operations centrally. Within each local chapter we have a dedicated volunteer Ambassador to help us build a thriving community of volunteer bakers and supporters.
