Founded in 2001 and based in Baltimore, Maryland, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation is a nonprofit focused on youth development. It designs programs and outdoor spaces for at-risk youth in underserved communities, offering safe environments for play, encouragement of healthy lifestyles, and access to STEM education, backed by a broad network of mentors, coaches, teachers, and law enforcement volunteers.
