Calgary Downtown Association represents 3,000 businesses in the centre of the city. We advocate for—and activate—a 120-block area with over 50 million square feet of office, hotel, retail, restaurant, entertainment, attractions, cultural and government buildings. As Calgary’s oldest Business Improvement Area, we have been shaping Downtown Calgary for more than 30 years. We advocate on behalf of the businesses, organizations and people that call it home. We improve the physical environment for public and commercial spaces, collaborate with the City of Calgary to deliver services and work to support the area’s economic vitality. Our work focuses on the city’s core, but it benefits all residents who take advantage of the area’s businesses and attractions. We are community builders, urbanists and unapologetic boosters of life in the heart of one of Canada’s most vibrant cities.
