Welcome to the company profile of the California Cotton Ginners and Growers Association. These two cotton industry organizations represent their members in the legal, legislative and regulatory affairs of their respective businesses. Both Associations are non-profit trade Associations and are supported by an ann ual voluntary dues assessment per bale produced (Growers) and per bale ginned (Ginners). Dues for 2013, based on the 2012 crop, are 25¢ per bale produced and 25¢ per bale ginned. The Ginners Association’s membership includes all of the 24 ginning firms currently doing business in California. These 24 organizations will operate 37 cotton gins during the 2013 season. The membership of the Growers Association currently produces 100% of the total cotton produced in California. The total number of cotton growers is estimated to be approximately 750 statewide.
