The California Grocers Association is a non-profit statewide trade association for the food industry, founded in 1898 and based in Sacramento. It represents roughly 500 retail members operating more than 6,000 stores in California and Nevada, along with about 300 supplier companies, including chain and independent supermarkets, convenience stores, and mass merchandisers.
