The Comprehensive Advanced Life Support Program or CALS Program is an educational program designed specifically for rural health providers to meet their advanced life support training needs. The primary focus is to train medical personnel in a team approach to anticipate, recognize, and treat life-threatening emergencies. The CALS Universal Approach Covers: Airway Management, Rapid Sequence Intubation, Trauma, Cardiac, Medical, Neurological, Obstetric, Neonatal, Pediatric. There is no other program that provides a more comprehensive approach to emergency medicine education in rural and resourced challenged communities. CALS Advanced Life Support Program is endorsed/recognized by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
