Camp Augusta is a non-profit summer camp located near Nevada City, California, occupying 80 acres in the Sierra Nevada foothills along Lake Vera. Each year, thousands of children, youth, and family members participate in programs designed for summer youth campers, wilderness trips, elementary school groups, and family gatherings. The setting features rustic, wooded surroundings and emphasizes safe, community-based experiences. The organization supports families by providing a space where campers learn and have fun while staff model healthy living and positive values. Counselors are selected for character and a love of youth, undergo an extensive training and hiring process, and write personal letters to parents about each camper's experience to reinforce learning at home.
