Camp Fire Snohomish County is a nonprofit youth organization delivering camping and group programs for children from preschool through high school in Snohomish County and Camano Island. It is part of a national movement that began in 1910, with the local council established in 1917. Through a program of informal education, recreation, and social interaction, the group supports youth in realizing personal potential and contributes to stronger families and communities. Its offerings include Small Group Club Programs, Mega Clubs for low-income children, self-reliance skill-building courses, Teen in Action community service, and Camp Killoqua activities such as resident and day camps, grief camps, inclusion camps, outdoor education, and after-school programs. Camp Fire Snohomish County operates from Bothell, Washington, and has owned Camp Killoqua since 1941. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving youth and families in the region, and in early 2018 Jim Stephanson was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
