Founded in 1956, Camp Rockmont is an interdenominational christian summer camp for boys on 580 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains east of Asheville. Each summer over 1,500 campers and 200 staff collaborate to facilitate an experience of adventure, fun, and friendship. Over 90% of families note that their sons grow in: self confidence, independence, leadership ability, and christian character. Camp Rockmont is a member of the American Camp Association, and undergoes an annual accreditation process as it seeks to provide a safe, adventurous environment for campers, staff, and visitors. During the non-summer months, Rockmont is committed to the same level of hospitality through hosting groups, festivals, and other events on the property.
