The Campaign for College Opportunity is a California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to higher education for the state's college-age population. Founded in 2003 by the California Business Roundtable, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), and the Community College League of California, it is based in Los Angeles. Its objectives include increasing the number of students who enroll in two- and four-year colleges in California and improving their success in attaining postsecondary goals. The organization builds a coalition of education, industry, labor, and policy leaders and conducts public awareness efforts to address higher education challenges in the state. In 2026, it released a statewide policy playbook in partnership with Complete College America to outline reforms aimed at achieving California's 2030 target of 70 percent postsecondary attainment.
