The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is a mid-sized nonprofit organization based in Mount Hope, Ontario, founded in 1972. Its mandate is to acquire, document, preserve, and maintain a complete collection of aircraft that Canadians and the Canadian military flew from the start of World War II to the present, along with related artifacts such as books, periodicals, and manuals. The museum houses nearly fifty aircraft and includes an aviation exhibit gallery and a gift shop. In addition to its exhibits, the facility serves as a venue for events, capable of accommodating small groups or large corporate gatherings, with on-site catering. It positions itself within the Museums, Historical Sites, and Zoos sector as a full-service venue focused on education and public access to aviation history. The museum conducts its annual Warbird Fly-In, with the 2026 edition scheduled for August 29.
