Cancer Research Malaysia is a non-profit cancer research laboratory based in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Founded in 2000 by Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Ahmad bin Tunku Yahaya, it concentrates on cancers prevalent in Malaysia and the wider Asian region, drawing on resources from the country’s biodiversity. The organization collaborates with researchers locally and internationally to advance understanding of cancer and to build research capacity in a learning environment. Its activities reflect a commitment to collaboration with both local institutions and global partners. In April 2024 the organization partnered with Understandinguncertainty and the University of Cambridge to explore genetic and imaging approaches in cancer screening. In July 2025 the AACR partnered with Cancer Research Malaysia to host AACR on Campus events in Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur and Kuching, illustrating ongoing international engagement.
