The Canton Museum of Art, based in Canton, Ohio, is a regional institution focused on American art, presenting original exhibitions and national touring shows. It emphasizes making art discovery and exploration accessible to a broad audience and maintains a collection centered on American works on paper, particularly watercolors, as well as contemporary ceramics. Founded in 1935 and accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, CMA welcomes more than 45,000 visitors annually and stands as one of Stark County’s three accredited museums. The museum delivers education outreach, classes, and workshops for thousands of students of all ages, serving residents and visitors in the region. In 2026 CMA announced a partnership with the Early Childhood Resource Center to support Elevate & Create, a nine-month program that brings families together through hands-on art experiences.
