Caravan to Class is a US-registered 501c3 charitable organization that has been investing in access to education for the youth of the fabled Timbuktu, Mali and beyond since 2010. We are passionate about providing educational opportunities for those that would otherwise not have them. Since 2010, we have: ✔️ built and supported 18 French-based schools for thousands of children; ✔️ taught basic literacy to over 300 mothers to enable them to advocate for their children's education. Our Focus Now ✔️The Bourse Jackie University Scholarship Program--each year, this program selects 5 female students graduating high school in Mali and provides them with a chance to attend university in Accra, Ghana. The scholarship covers full tuition, books, a laptop, courses in English and a cohort program. We invest a lot in these women and we expect a lot, not just a quality career outcome but that these women become mentors to other young women and future leaders. ✔️ The Bourse Jackie English Language Program, launched in 2023, is a scholarship for female high-school graduates from French-speaking countries. The program currently selects 5 women annually to receive six months of intensive English study at the BT Institute, a female leadership program and transportation to and from their home country.
