Cardan is a mid-sized group active in the retail motor vehicles sector, based in Maia in the Porto region of Portugal. Its origins date back to 1966, when its core activity was the sale and repair of cars from brands such as Simca, Chrysler, Hillman, and Sunbeam in the Porto district. Over time, the company broadened its representation to include additional brands and expanded into related activities, including used-vehicle sales, distribution of parts, and intermediation of financial and insurance products.

Since 2006, Cardan has also offered vehicle rental and mobility solutions designed to be flexible for individuals and businesses. Beginning in 2012, it extended its physical presence to the Greater Porto and Vale do Sousa regions, progressively increasing the number of installed units, and today it serves customers across major regions of the North through a combination of physical locations and digital platforms that provide mobility solutions.
