Care Sourcer is a web-based tool which will enable an individual and their family members (care seekers) to investigate and source care that meets their specific needs and achieves their outcomes. Through a secure and accessible website, it will provide information and choices to connect the care seeker and Care Providers in their local area. 

Care Sourcer puts the care seeker in control of finding the care they require to meet their needs. It reduces the frustration of fruitless searches, with repetitive entering of information about care needs and care requests, time after time, using directories provided by Local Authorities and using internet searches. 
It allows the care seeker to:

• Explore different care options in their own time, at their own pace, in their own environment. They also have the option of having friends or family assisting them with their search, or carrying it out on their behalf. 

 • Decide their own priorities for their care, based on their preferred times, their budget, and their specific goal or outcome.There is also the option to view the Care Inspectorate reports of each Care Provider and a link to the website of the Care Provider.

• Express their personalised care needs, view their choices and options without having to commit to a care provider until they are entirely satisfied with the offer. 

•Have peace of mind knowing that confidentiality and privacy are assured.
