Carfagna's Inc. is a family-founded food and beverage services business based in central Ohio, with a history spanning more than eight decades. What began in 1937 as a corner Italian market has evolved into a multi-faceted operation that includes a retail market, a restaurant, catering, a USDA-inspected food manufacturing facility, a bakery, a butcher shop, a wine and spirits shop, a cocktail bar, and private event spaces, all housed within a single 28,000 square-foot complex in Columbus. The company produces handmade, small-batch pasta, pizzas, meatballs, soups, and sauces, with pasta sauces as its prominent product line, and distributes products to grocery stores nationwide. Its services target consumers seeking high-quality Italian food experiences and products, as well as businesses and events requiring catering and private venue services, with a emphasis on family recipes and traditional preparation. Carfagna's operates within the food and beverage services industry, positioning itself as a diversified, vertically integrated operation that spans retail, restaurant, manufacturing, and event spaces, and it maintains ongoing operations through a fourth generation of family leadership. A notable recent development is the public attention given to its involvement in a state legislative effort related to the practice act, announced in 2020.
