Caribbean Central American Action (CCAA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Washington, DC, focused on promoting private sector–led economic development in the Caribbean Basin. It facilitates trade and investment by fostering dialogue between private and public sectors to improve policy and regulatory environments at local, regional, and international levels, addressing issues such as energy security, customs, port security, tourism, financial services, and disaster mitigation. The organization also runs programs in agriculture, apparel, intellectual property rights, telecommunications, and information technology, and hosts the Annual Conference on the Caribbean and Central America, a major gathering that brings together senior public and private sector leaders. CCAA describes itself as governed by an international Board of Trustees and supported primarily by contributions from stakeholders with an interest in the region’s prosperity, operating as a charitable entity.
