Carpet Town, founded in 1971 by Lester and Charlotte Dubrin as Carpet Town USA, began as a cash-and-carry warehouse operation before expanding its offerings to include a broader range of flooring. Today it functions as a full-service flooring retailer and design hub, with a team of sales consultants and a design area that features wallpaper, window treatments, and fabric designed by award-winning interior designers. Based in West Allis, Wisconsin, the company serves the greater Milwaukee area and provides a broad source for flooring and related design needs. 

Leadership remains within the founding family, with Wendy D. Werner, the daughter of the founders, serving as president. Carpet Town has been recognized as one of the largest retail flooring stores in the Milwaukee region and has earned awards from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and the Metropolitan Builders Association, in addition to a national designation as a Stainmaster Flooring Center. A 2020 development noted that Carpet Town Milwaukee was named a finalist in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Top Choice Awards.
