CACS makes a difference in lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through individually designed services around community living, family, daytime activities and employment opportunities. Supports are provided through separate, coordinated services: LIVING SERVICES • Residential Living provides supports for health, safety and community inclusion in two licensed long-term care homes located in San Rafael. • Supported Living (Community Living Services) supports individuals to live safely and successfully in apartments or shared homes in their community. ADULT DAY SERVICES • Adult Community Services (ACS) provides community based discovery and supports individuals to earn income, further their education, volunteer, and/or engage in hobbies and recreation. • Tailored Day Services provides support for those individuals who want or need customized day programming on a part time basis. • Specialized Day Services provides education, leisure activities and community inclusion for those who require additional age or health related assistance. INCOME OPPORTUNITIES UNLIMITED (IOU) • IOU individualized business investigations and development provides discovery, feasibility and business planning. • IOU business launch and incubation leads to a sustainable microenterprise business ownership and earned income Intellectual and developmental disabilities refer to severe chronic disabilities that begin before adulthood and include autism, cerebral palsy and Down syndrome.
