CASA of St. Louis trains and empowers Court Appointed Special Advocates—CASA volunteers—who step up to advocate for children in foster care. Through all the uncertainties and disruption in a child’s life, a CASA volunteer is by their side to ensure their voice is heard and their needs remain a priority. Each CASA volunteer gets to know a child in foster care and advocates for their best interest. A child with a CASA volunteer has a dependable, caring adult looking out for them as they navigate the complicated foster care system. We partner with parents and caregivers to strengthen family bonds, and we support reunification when safe. We help children heal from trauma so they can progress in school, participate in childhood activities, and exit foster care to a safe and loving permanent home. A member of The National CASA Association, we are a private a non-profit 501 (C) (3) tax exempt organization supported by generous partners, donors, and volunteers.
