Catamaran Literary Reader is a quarterly print magazine. The magazine features fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and art.  We are based in the new Tannery Arts and Digital Media Center Studios, in Santa Cruz, California. Our mission is to capture the vibrant creative spirit of the West Coast in writing and art from everywhere. Among the themes we address are environmentalism, personal freedom, innovation, and artistic spirit. We seek to present diverse national voices around themes such as these that have a special resonance with our region.

Through experienced literary editors, Catamaran Literary Reader maintains a high standard of excellence.  Readers can look forward to a magazine of thought-provoking content rich with creativity.

Catamaran Literary Reader is a California nonprofit corporation.  Our mission is to provide a public benefit to the literary community by publishing poets, writers, and artists.  By making the publication available nationally, Catamaran Literary Reader seeks to provide a literary education for a diverse group of readers.
