Acquisition by Lee Cathcart Construction was acquired by Lee Contracting, Inc. in June 2026, signaling a change in ownership and potential alignment with broader hospital and municipal infrastructure capabilities that could open cross-selling for health care facilities projects and larger project scopes.

Small scale, niche With a very small employee base and sub-$1M revenue, Cathcart presents an opportunity to upsell end-to-end construction services, project management enhancements, and scalable healthcare facility upgrades to larger contractor networks seeking turnkey hospital projects.

Healthcare focus Position Cathcart as a partner for hospital and health care infrastructure needs, including facility upgrades, water and utility systems for health campuses, leveraging the healthcare niche to differentiate from general contractors.

Regional footprint Located in Berlin, Maryland, the company operates in the mid-Atlantic region where hospital construction and municipal infrastructure demand may be rising, suggesting targeted outreach to nearby health systems, municipalities, and medical centers.

Tech and web presence The tech stack indicates reliance on common web technologies and cloud hosting; this can be a lever for offering digital project management tools, secure data handling, and modern construction tech partnerships to improve bidding and execution efficiency for hospital projects.
