Catholic Charities Jacksonville is a small-to-mid-sized nonprofit operating in the social services sector. It runs programs designed to address hunger, homelessness, abuse, and injustice, with a model that relies on community partners to identify vulnerable neighbors and refer them to trusted advocates. Neighbors and advocates collaborate to use the resources of these programs in pursuit of dignity and self-sufficiency. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, the organization serves the Northeast Florida region. It has pursued collaborations to extend its reach, including a 2022 drive-thru food distribution partnership with Feeding Northeast Florida and Saint Luke Catholic Church in Clay County; earlier efforts provided refugees with devices and internet access to support English learning.
