The Catholic Diocese of Wichita is a Roman Catholic jurisdiction serving central and southeastern Kansas. It is based in Wichita, Kansas. Established in 1887 from territory of the Diocese of Leavenworth, it now covers 20,021 square miles across 25 counties and serves 115,967 Catholics in 90 parishes. The diocese is led by Bishop Carl A. Kemme, the 11th bishop, who was appointed in 2014. In February 2026, it announced that Alan Schuckman would become president of Catholic Diocese of Wichita Inc, effective July 1, 2026.
