Cazadero Performing Arts Camp is a music education organization based in Berkeley, California, operating for youth ages 10 to 18. It offers a long-running program that combines in-depth music instruction with the experience of summer camp, set on a 33-acre site near the Russian River in Sonoma County. Each year, the camp reaches more than 1,400 young musicians through its Summer Music Camp and JumpStart in Music programs, providing instruction from conductors, faculty, and camp staff in a setting intended to foster musical development, confidence, and friendships. The JumpStart program adapts the camp experience into a low-cost, three-day weekend format for public school students, teachers, and high school mentors, aimed at delivering a condensed, high-impact musical immersion. The organization sits within the musicianship sector and emphasizes a transformative, community-based environment for youth music education, with a mission to extend access to its programs to a broader population.
